Managing Whistleblower Investigations under Peruvian Liability Laws
Equip managers and compliance teams with the practical knowledge and legal frameworks required to receive, investigate, and resolve whistleblower reports effectively under Peru's Corporate Liability Law (Legislative Decree 1352) and Law 30742, while protecting reporters and upholding organisational integrity.
This course is designed specifically for managers and compliance professionals operating within Peruvian organisations who are responsible for overseeing, designing, or implementing whistleblower and compliance programmes. Building directly on foundational awareness training, this course moves into the operational and legal mechanics of managing reports from receipt through to resolution, with continuous reference to Peru's binding legislative framework, including Legislative Decree 1352 (Corporate Liability Law) and Law 30742 (Law for the Strengthening of Integrity and the Fight against Corruption).
Participants will develop a thorough understanding of the procedural, evidentiary, and governance obligations that apply when a whistleblower report is received, including how to conduct impartial internal investigations, manage conflicts of interest, apply appropriate confidentiality controls, and interact with external regulators such as the Contraloría General de la República and the Unidad de Inteligencia Financiera (UIF). The course also addresses the critical duties of non-retaliation, the standards for assessing report credibility, and the documentation practices that demonstrate good faith effort — a pivotal factor in accessing the mitigating benefits available under Legislative Decree 1352.
As the second course in a two-part Peruvian compliance training set, this programme assumes participants have completed the all-staff awareness course and are now ready to translate that knowledge into leadership action. On completion, managers and compliance teams will be able to govern the entire whistleblower lifecycle confidently, reduce organisational liability exposure, and foster the speak-up culture that Peruvian law increasingly demands of corporate entities.
